The 4th annual Low Carbon Vehicle Event (LCV2011) will be held on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th September 2011 at Rockingham Motor Speedway in Corby, Northamptonshire.
This event aims to help promote a strong industry led economic recovery by bringing together the key automotive industry stakeholders to showcase their capabilities in the field of low carbon vehicles and fleet carbon reduction and by stimulating market demand through building fleet operator and consumer awareness and confidence in accessible or near market products for future procurement.
-
Rockingham Motor speedway provides a 40 acre site to accommodate LCV and aims to provide a unique opportunity for exhibitors and delegates to participate in several different activities which actively demonstrate specialist technology capabilities and the progress of the automotive sector in moving towards an integrated low carbon vehicle economy such as:
-
Low carbon vehicle and technology exhibition where companies are invited to demonstrate and showcase the very latest innovations and ideas in low carbon automotive technology and vehicles alongside leading-edge research activities from academia.
-
A low carbon vehicle ride and drive where fleet operators who are keen to reduce the carbon emissions from their vehicle fleets will have the opportunity to acquire first-hand driving experience of the low carbon vehicles on show. All delegates will be welcome to drive or ride in vehicles provided by vehicle manufacturers and converters to assess the relative merits of emerging low carbon technologies and vehicles first hand on one of the Rockingham race circuits.
-
Conference and technical seminar programme will focus on the strategic policy initiatives which aim to accelerate the development and uptake of low carbon vehicles in the UK and where delegates and exhibitors can understand and discuss some of the industry drivers and policy decisions and how they are shaping the automotive landscape of the future. It is expected that a Key Government Minister will deliver the opening Key Address. The programme is now live at http://www.lcv2011.co.uk/seminar-programme.asp
-
Project and real world trials dissemination programme where delegates and exhibitors can get to hear the latest results from low carbon vehicle trials and programmes already underway.
-
Structured business networking and meetings where organisations can participate in targeted B2B networking and business meetings.
