Quality Action plan publish survey results on quality of feedstocks and compost and digestate.

Posted: 11 August, 2017. Written by Jenny Grant

The Quality Action Plan (the QAP) is a cross-industry working group (including REA's ORG) focussed on the continuous improvement of compost and digestate products. The QAP also works to improve the quality of feedstocks in order to improve the quality of end products and works in collaboration with the related industry Food Waste Recycling Action Plan

In autumn 2016 the QAP undertook two surveys: one on the quality of feedstocks to anaerobic digestion and composting facilities; and the other on the quality of compost and digestate products.

The primary objective was to guide the QAP’s future work, but the surveys also provide useful information for the composting and AD industries, users of compost and digestate products and policy makers.

Summaries of the results of the two surveys, along with the full question set and responses are available to download below.

The QAP is very grateful to the many people who completed the surveys and have made them a success – thank you!
